Favorite go-to mom dresses. Toddler approved. (a.k.a you can squat, bend-over, and sit cross-legged without offending anyone!)
If I could wear a dress every day of the week, I would without question. I love finding comfortable, versatile dresses that transition from day to night, simply by changing your accessories – double win.
After entering mommyhood, for a while I sort of pressed pause on wearing dresses (unless it was a special occasion) because all the dresses in my closet weren’t very functional for bouncing around town with my babe. My dress collection was either too short, too low cut, or was a dry-clean only favorite. I’ve decided after too many spills, it’s probably not the best use of funds to wear a dry-clean only anything while in Mom-Mode. Wait.. I think I hear my husband cheering in the background – ha!
As a mom that always aims to be fun and interactive with my little cutie, I need a dress that’s machine washable, comfortable, and long enough to make sitting cross-legged on the floor appropriate. I’ve also found that sometimes maxi dresses aren’t the best option for me because it’s hard to run fast in a maxi. With my busy cruiser on the move, I need to be able to go 0-to-60 at a moment’s notice to chase my little guy.
With that being said, I’m currently obsessing over this trendy hemline for spring – give me all the Midi Dresses. For clarification purposes, a Midi Dress is anything that floats somewhere below your knee and above your ankle.. aka it’s the way forward for springtime. This chic and feminine silhouette is my go-to for Mom-Mode. Another bonus of this graceful hemline: if you’re a shoe addict like me, this dress put’s your favorite sandal on display all day long.
