Ok, I had WAY too much fun dreaming up our Christmas decor this year! With the help of my UBER talented friend, Nicole Berlund, owner of Mini Soirées event planning here on Mercer Island, WA, and luxury balloon artist extraordinaire, Stephany Green, owner of Decorate + Celebrate with SG - we were able to bring my dreams of a very whimsical, very EXTRA, Christmas to life. Que the pink velvet ribbon, oversized nutcrackers, sparkly snowflakes, twinkling lights, and candy canes galore.
For months (who am I kidding…years!) I’ve had visions of sugar plums dancing in my head, but I was overwhelmed with how to make my vision of a winter wonderland a reality - so I decided to bring in 2 of my favorite professionals. With amazing organization, creativity, and excellent planning - all on a tight timeline, I’d like to add – Nicole and Stephany were so fun and easy to work with.
Together, I’m pretty sure we sourced all the pastel-colored holiday items within a 100+ miles, lol.
For the record, it only took me 8 years to convince my hubby to have a flocked tree and PINK everything. All I can say is, it was a million percent worth the wait! Seeing this all come to life has most definitely made this Christmas feel even more magical.
Sidenote, if you’re trying to win your husband over on something, I recommend the “kiss and persist” method. Just repeat yourself a million times, over-and-over again, and hang a couple extra mistletoes! Oh, and just start shopping and show your overwhelming excitement, ask him for his help - emphasize that you can’t possibly accomplish this without him (“Honey, you’re so good at hanging ornaments!”). Wifey psychology 101… works every time.
