The Model Mama

FEATURE FRIDAY: AMY TANGERINE

MOMMYHOODTara LawlerComment

I’m so excited to introduce another component to The Model Mama platform – my new show, The Model Mama, airing on Focus TV. I will be posting each episode of these uplifting interviews on my new YouTube Channel. AND every Friday for the next 10 weeks (mark your calendar) I’ll be featuring an inspiring Mama, highlighting her story, and sharing all her amazing insights about navigating Mommyhood in something called my Feature Friday Series.

Today is day O-N-E  and I couldn’t be happier to introduce my very first Feature Friday Mama: the oh-so talented, Amy Tangerine. Amy is as creative and bubbly as they come. She adds  bright colors and happiness to every room. Amy and I met in our amazing mom network here in LA called, Hey Mama. She’s a mama to a four-year old boy, an author, an award-winning designer, and a professional scrap-booker. As if that wasn’t enough, her YouTube Channel is also a huge hit!

In Amy’s new book, Craft a Life You Love, you will learn how to focus your creative energy and make things (and make things happen) by implementing small—yet powerful— changes in your everyday life. For anyone who has felt disconnected from their creativity or has had trouble saving a space for their passions, Craft a Life You Love will teach you how to make time for creativity each and every day. It’s truly a must read!

Some of my FAVORITE takeaways from Amy …

+ Be intentional with how you start every day.

I’m very intentional about how I spend my morning routine… I stretch, drink a full glass of water, journal, and set my intensions for the day… you have to allow yourself permission to do what works for you
— Amy

+ Learn to be present.

We’re not called human doings. We’re called human beings. When was the last time you could just be.
— Amy

+ Always say YES to doing anything creative with your kids.

I will never say no to an art project. If your child ever wants to CREATE something with you, you should take a break from whatever you’re doing because who knows their attention span might  only be 15-mins.
